left Tripoli by sea for the demobilisation camp at Moascar, the 8th and 9th L.H. Regiment on the 22nd February, and the remainder of the Brigade on 4th March 1919.

L.C. WILSON, Brigadier-General,
Commanding 3rd Light Horse Brigade.

Zagazig, Egypt,
1st April 1919.

NOTE - In the middle of March while the Brigade was awaiting demobilisation at Moascar, political unrest, including murder of soldiers and Europeans, looting of shops and houses of Greeks and Armenians, tearing up of railways, destruction of railway bridges, telegraph and telephone lines became general throughout Egypt.  All Australian troops, (exclusive of 1st and 2nd L.H. Regiments, who had already embarked for Australia), were re-equipped and sent into the disturbed area.  The first part of this Brigade left for Zagazig District on the 15th of March and the balance on the 18th March, 1919.
