It rained heavily all the afternoon.
Explanations and a lively conversation in which the kiddies all joined in at intervals followed my reception. Then all sat down to tea. It was a pretty family group. The prettiest I have ever seen I think. After tea I soon got pally with them k and we had a great romp until nearly 10 o'clock. and then there was something doing when they little boy had to go to bed.
