I was put in charge of evacuations at night and had a fairly busy time but had a man to show me the ropes. Had a good supper at midnight in the Cookhouse my friend being good with the Cook. It rained during our march down & made things very uncomfortable & cold & may interfere with the stunt which is on. They hopped the bags this morning & reports are very glowing.

Friday night & Saturday morning 5th & 6th Slept all day Friday & slept well & started again at 8 P.M. but found practically nothing to do. Practically all the patients had been cleared out & very few were coming in, however I made the rounds collected the figures of those marked for evacuation as well as those of the other C.C.S.'s & found that there were not enough to fill a train so that they will wait until
