Monday, 21/5/17
Up at 6 a.m. & no early morning parade. Practically no parades at all during the day. Received letter from Miss P. dated Feby. 19th & a parcel of eatables from Uncle Fred. After tea went to Y.M.C.A.

Tuesday, 22/5/17
Platoon drill in morning & route march in afternoon passing through Wareham. After tea looked around Wareham with Skelsey.

Wednesday, 23/5/17
Fairly cold early in the morning. Heavy day of drill at the "Bull-ring". A bit of a strike at dinner time on a/c of scarcity of food. Officers promised to have quantity & quality improved. After tea took stroll down to Y.M.C.A. & got caught in heavy rain. It is now raining heavily. Handed in our waterproof capes today.

Thursday, 24/5/17
Inclined to be windy today although fine. Had little bayonet drill in morning & in afternoon went for route march. Saw train containing 10 "Tanks" passing by. Went to Wareham after tea & then to Y.M.C.A. & went to bed.

Friday, 25/5/17
Much warmer today & did a hard day's work viz. Musketry, Bayonet fighting, Physical Training, Squad drill, and Bombing. After tea
