Cape of Good Hope 13th March April. 1791

Sir

The last time I had the honor to writ you was by the Princess Royal Capt Horncastle who took charge of a Collection of Seeds and Bulbs containing about 200 Sorts.  We have now a fleet of China Ships in False Bay, by which you will of course expect that I should have sent some living Plants but transporting the them So far is extreemly difficult and the expence would be great:  all that I can send is a box containing 130 Sorts of Seeds & bulbs and about 10 books of Specimens.

I have the honor to be
your most obliged humble
Servt.
