In my Way from Harrowgate, I called at Horton, near Bradford, once the Patrimony, and Residence of that celebrated Mathematician Abraham Sharpe; and there saw a great number of his Paper, and a Copy of Flamsteeds Atlas, with adititions and Corrections by himself, and many curious Letters from eminent Persons. There is a small Bust of Flamsteed in Ivory a most perfect Piece of Workmonship [workmanship] presented to Abraham Sharp by Flamsteed himself. I found his Workshop and Tools all as he left them when he died 46 Years ago. The Room has been many years in Darkness the Windows having been blocked up with Brick & Mortar. I have not room to enumerate all I saw there, but the present Owner Mrs. Sharpe a Collaterof A. S.'s was very liberal to me & presented some fine Specimens of A.S.Turning & some curious Papers.
