by the recommendation of Mr Heckman of Hamburg who has Kindly promisd to negotiate the payment of your future accounts with me I take the liberty of sending you the following instructions
Whereas Professor John Reinhold Forster of Halle has for some years been indebted to me in the sum of £250 as appears by two notes of hand signd by him & sent with this the one for the amount of £200 the other for £50 & whereas the said Professor did some short time before he left England promise me that the said sums of £250 should be paid to me at the same time when his other creditors receivd their demands which promise has not been hitherto fulfilld & whereas he has retaind the said moneys from the time
