Custom House Two P-M- June 2. 1797

Sir

With this you will receive the Boxes  The Pines are in excellent order -& I am glad to see one Worota in the small Box - from which I am hopeful these planted in the grated Box, as well as those in the box with the Pines - will grow; as those in the smaller Box were planted first - Coul But, from its being kept in a closer place than the others I'll give it every palpable chance/ It has come up sooner. The open Box has been so ill used & planted sowed so long, that I despair of any coming up there - but still it may be tried - I should have done myself the honour of waiting on you today, but that  I have been so completely drenched & rather limping - I am with grateful respect Sir Your Most Humble Servant Philip Gidley King

Having informed Lord Sydney that I have one tree for him I hope there will be no impropriety in my requesting your advice how at what time it may be separated from the rest -
