Since writing the above I have received a very polite letter from Sir A.N – the garden is to be removed – Latticed Births built between [indecipherable] it, Contents – The Barricading of the Quarters are to come down – the Bends to be doubled – & a piece added to the Rudder all which I hope will make her better than she is – As the carpenters have begun with quarters I think it will now be closed  You may Sir rely on my care – Mr Holt gives Gearish a very good character for his Great attention to the Garden – Souter having been ill all the passage – May I request to know whether you have got the Plan.
