by our troops; it is reported that there was some very heavy street fighting, which is surprising to me; sent letter home yesterday C. Prd was held this morning. heard this morning that our troops penetrated the hun lines at Bhancourt this is a place, if anything a little N.E. from Bapaume Brown and Twyman were sentenced this morning the former to 60 DYS 23d Fld the latter to 30 DYS 2nd Fld.
19-3/17 Went to Beauel this morning with 2 Prs. seen by the paper to-day of the great British advance 770.S.M of country taken and 60 towns one town Noyon had 10,000 inhabitants in it. expect to hear good news to-morrow re the advance it has been a splendid day we expect to go back to the line within a day or two
20/3-17 It rained pretty well all the night and about 7 O.C this morning it snowed a little, we heard to  yesterday that the hun's are closer to Poperinge and had the town shelled almost to the ground, so if this is true, they must have got thro somewhere on our old front, that is about Ypres. I do not beleive the yarn myself for I beleive it is just a yarn. heard this morning that Cambari has fallen, but have not seen anything in the paper about it, heard that the 29th D entrained today, or some of them did, this too of course is only romour but if they have, I think they are heading for the Ypres front, our troops are still advancing along with the french, hear that we are likely to move any day now, it was cold tonight otherwise quite. 21-3-17 Hear today that we are likely to move out to Riboumont(?) tomorrow this is a village about 4.M. from here. Mc Lo  got 90 dys this morning. it is a fine this morning fine but a bit cold, see by the paper that the Ypres news is wrong they have been only having raid's, we expect to eventually get to Ypres front this time, it will be a change from this front. I never did care for this front of the line, this is our 7th time in
