There is a fine concrete tennis court attached to the Chateau on the hill and the Y.M.C.A. having provided us with tennis rackets & balls we spend an hour or so in the morning after our night's duty.
Education Classes have been commenced under the direction of the Military. Classes in many different subjects are being conducted. The idea being to keep the men in touch with studies which will help them in Civil life.
The members of our unit are indulging in a great deal of sport. There is very little work, the weather is ideal for Swimming, Cricket, Tennis. Our camp is very compact. At present there is quite a homely feeling about the place. Padre Dorman has been the means of encouraging and providing the means of sport through the auspices of the Y.M.C.A.
There was a match between the Officers and the men the other day The day was ideal, the sisters of the C.C.S. took it upon themselves to provide tea and altogether it was a most enjoyabl afternoon.
French troops have passed and repassed our station on the march very frequently this month.

A shower in the evening made one feel very cool and refreshed the fields and trees considerably
