18th
I was accused this morning by Madam and her daughter of being "zig-zag" last night. Apparently this was the only way in which they could account for my late arrival "home". I stoutly denied the charge hem! but am afraid I did not convince mine host. Today is the anniversary of the Embarkation of the 1st Bde. from, at Sydney. I am therefore entitled to wear 1 red and 4 f blue service chevrons which the village tailleur very neatly stitched on for me.
