I come to town after serving as message boy & shop boy at Nelson's. I miss Mr Love again. I ring P.P. and visit J & C, chat with Miss Leslie. I go to Quay meet P.P., we have tea and

I cut out all the morning and then go to Manly. Talk to Westy for a while and then to Aunt. I go to Band and then meet Geo and Lil & go home to baths. Water delightful. Band after tea with

I am coming home but miss 5.45 and meet K and P.  We two dine and go to N.S. a most uncomfortable evening as both are tired and disinclined for talk. We move several times but eventually get

Tuesday, 4 April 1922

 I go to Westmead after being disappointed at P'matta. I take tea at Meldrums's and go back there to sleep. I get to house all right and we sit and chat until supper and I catch the 10.50 train.
