Ring Ellis & P.P. I garden all morning. Mum & I drive to Dee Why. I garden until dark and then try to fix piano. Sit down at 8 pm to write.    Wrote to Marion and Will.

Tuesday, 30 May 1922

Dine at Shamrock. Go to Ellis' place. Music and chatter and play with Baby Etta. We all spend a pleasant evening.  I get more abuse for doing favours for people who do not trust me now.

Sunday, 16 July 1922

I have a quick pleasant trip home.  I read all the while sitting alongside a very pretty young wife from Catherine Hill  Bay.  I walk to the station in 53 minutes.

My day on duty in aft. Finish up 6.45. Repair to Y.M.C.A. Praise Service. Well known hymns & their composers. Yarn to Freda H &amp. Sister MacDonald.

Got up at 2 pm. Went to Pres. Church at Wimereux at 3 p.m. Called on "Shutey" at the Marmaille. Aft. tea & stroll. Encounted Khaki lass. Games up.
