Tuesday, 2 February 1915
Loaded horses in the morning. Went ashore after dinner to do some shopping for the boys. Met Lily. Went round & said Goodbye to Nell & Lil came back with me to the ship. Could not get ashore to say goodbye so exchanged notes on wharf. Ship sailed about 5.30. Lil took it hard. Anchored in the Bay till about midnight. Went on Picket at 6 P.M.
Fair send off at wharf. Men consist of detachments from S.A., Tas, Vic., NSW.
