Sunday 29 Sept.Called up at 2.30 a.m. & packed tent & moved out to Templaux then quite close to front line. Arrived Templaux, unpacked wagon, fed horses in wagon, barrage started 5.25 a.m. Then moved out to lay a line to Bony.
Got going well when tanks were observed only a few yards ahead. Stopped, ascertained situation & had to wait until advance recontinued. Moved forward after seeing a tank top the ridge in front. Found 10 Bde had taken position about 1 mile behind their subjective position.
