Saturday 24 AugustThings as usual – busy cleaning saddlery –
Called out about 7 p.m. with wagon – Two wagons mine – Chancellors. Up along main road & a fair way up one of the wheels of my wagon stuck – Could not repair. Shelled rather heavily. Horses withdrawn. Finally removed wagon to side of the road & took stores on cable card. Laid line. 10th Bde – 291 QFA.
