The Trenches and Saps
The most extraordinary of all the feats performed at Gallipoli was the tremendous amount of trenches and saps. Day after day and night after night men were continually digging and improving the safety and usefulness of our trenches. Whole Battalions & Brigades were specially held in reserve on this most strenuous work under the most trying and awkward conditions.
