Fine & warm. About the billets all morning till all the "leave" men got away then we went down the town & had a feed. We fell in & caught the boat (SS Victoria) leaving about 5 pm & she landed us at Folkstone about 6.30 pm after a good trip across. Got the train to London & we were marched from Victoria to Horseferry Road & given a pass & some money & told to report at 9 AM on Monday morning. I got a taxi & came on to the Goring Hotel & got a room.
