The major is wandering along in the shadows to find out how the boys are standing the march
"How are your feet Jones." We hear him ask
"All right Sir" comes the answer
And then again we hear him, nearer toward the rear
"Well how are you standing it Bland"
"Not too well Sir, My crook knee is going a bit
"Can you manage to keep going" The majors electric torch flashes, and we know he is having a look at Bland, as he asks the question.
"Yes Sir, I can stick it" replies Bland.
