Saturday March 24th [1917]
Relieved of road duty went up and camped in old house

Fatigue on road saw great air fight five machine go brought to earth night time gas guard

Nothing doing in morning after noon moved up to Bancourt.

Moved out at twelve o'clock for front line miserable cold snowy day relieved 53rd Batt. Quiet night a few shells sent over by enemy.
