Honorable Sir

I have only time to inform you what I have inclosed is a list of the plants Shipped on board the Echo & Bellona - for the Cape of Good Hope, St Helena, - Jamaica, and the Royal Botanic Garden Kew . -

By this last ship that saild from hence to Bengal I have sent four thousand Clove and Nutmeg plants - and by the Duke [of] Bucleugh [Buccleuch]
