if you will write to Mr Stephens, & if you think that an interview between him & me can be of use, (after you have received his answer), I shall be very ready to settle with him a day to meet; but it would be deemed officiousness in me if I was to put myself forward in this matter without your interference as a middle man.

You have revived my activity in this affair of the publication, and I think that at present it is the most business which principally engrosses my time; except the Rowleian controversy, in which I begin to be deeply engaged, & so much so that I have talked of writing a pamphlet upon the subject.
