collection I will return to Prince of Wales Island, to superintend the cultivation of the Hon'ble Company Spice Plantations. I beg leave to inform you Right Honble Sir, of the number of Spice, and other valuable plants, which I have collected at the Moluccas, and transported into the different British possessions in India, (particularly into Prince Wales Island) since Sept.br 1799. -- 88,113 Plants. I have the satisfaction to relate, that the Clove, and Nutmeg plants, thrive as well at Prince Wales Island, as they do at Banda, or Amboyna and there are at present more than 76,000 Clove & Nutmeg plants at Prince Wales Island, in a flourishing state, I have the honor to be Right Honble Sir your most obedient humble serv.t C.
