I am sorry I cannot send any plants by this opportunity, the Star being too small a vessel for that purpose.
The Island of Ternate and its dependency, surrendered to the British Arms on the 21st of last month.
The English are now in full possession of all the Molucca Islands
Mr. Farquhar, the Resident at the Moluccas, will sail in a few days to Ternate, in order to arrange the civil government there, and to place his brother Walther Farquhar, Resident of these conquerd  islands.
It is my intention to proceed with Mr. Farquhar, for the purpose of making a Collection of the different kinds of Clove, and Nutmeg plants; at the [word obscured] Molucca Islands, from whence the Spice Plants originally, transported, into Amboyna, and Banda.
