an extent of about 300 miles, will now be ascertained. I have employed my competent Persons to survey the Territories recently conquered from the Gerkhas as will those which we have restored to the Ancient Rajahs as those which we retain. And I have specially directed these Gentlemen to take the Altitude of the highest point of the Ridge which I believe to be immense.
