and I trust they will reach you speedily, & safely.  They consisted, chiefly, of Seeds collected in the Jungles, and, in particular, two Baskets, sent in the Ship William Pitt, contained a variety of such as had never been seen before, in Calcutta:  but I have been, so much engaged in equipping, and sending, Reinforcements,  for Lord Cornwallis, that it was not in my power to pay all the attention I meant to have done to the Supplies of Seeds this Season. -
