One principal object I have in view in addressing you is to obtain some of the choisest fruits, such as Fleming knows we have not got; and also two good English Rams, Major Johnston brought out one Ram; Captain Kent another, but they have been so badly chosen as to be little or no value here.  I know not whether it would or no be in your power to assist me, in the above - I have ventured to write these lines, in Hopes that it might; if my Expectation should not be too great.

Fleming is well acquainted with all I want; and will take the trouble to procure them for me if it was possible to have them sent out.  I have wrote to Ambrose Lisle Esqr. to crave his interest in having them shipped for me - nothing can be of greater Importance than the Improvement of our Breed of Sheep.  The Climate and Soil both seem to agree with Sheep and the wool promises to be very good.  I have only to request you will excuse my Application
