promise no man in my situation would ever under-taken the voyage be sent off & Cast in a doubtfull[sic] ship with accommodations rather worse than those which I at first absolutely refusd [sic] & after spending above £5000 of my own fortune in the equipment º [note right]º upon the credit of those accommodations which I saw actually built for me--will the publick be so ungenerous as to expect me to go out in a ship in which my people have not the room necessary for performing the ir  different duties of their professions, app a ship apparently unhealthy
