Bury Street  St James's  Monday evening

Sir
Business of great moment calling me another way, I am deprived of the Opportunity of waiting upon you in person with the Drawings I have made at your request - I greatly fear though its Botanical defects and perhaps some of the little inaccuracies which cannot Escape your Eye it will not merit your Approbation

If it should and you should think the Author of it a person not totally improper to attend you on your Expedition he will be very happy; not Doubting but by his application under such excellent Instruction, he may improve his hand in Drawings of this Nature to some degree of perfection, especially this may be and to be [indecipherable] first Essay in that species of Drawing, as his Attention has heretofore been drawn another way by a different branch of the Arts
