i​​​​​n His Majesty's Service in India and that a similar Allowance be made to the Lieutenants for their Mess as are paid to the Officers of Vessels of the same rate as the Investigator, but your Committee being also of opinion that some distinction should be made between the Commander and Officers of the Investigator and the Officers of His Majesty's Navy who have the constant protection of the Commerce of India, therefore recommend that the beforementioned allowances be made to Captain Flinders and his Officers during such times only as they shall be actually employed on the Survey.
