Admty Office 27th Octr 1795

Sir

Having laid before my Lords Commrs of the Admiralty your letter of the 22nd inst. requesting that Mr Archibald Menzies may be permitted to attend the removal of the remaining plants on board the Discovery to His Majesty's Botanic Gardens at Kew, and proposing, as Mr Menzies is under arrest, to become security in any manner their Lordships may think proper, for his return to the Sloop; I have their Lordships commands to acquaint you that they have been pleas'd to give directions agreeable to your request, and that they have the satisfaction of observing that the difference between Mr Menzies and his Captain has been adjusted.
