Gulph of Carpentaria with all expedition, leaving the remainder of this coast and what will be missed in Torres' Strait for the time when the Lady Nelson will be fit too accompany me; and I hope to have the east side of the Gulph explored before the N.W. monsoon comes in upon us.

I inclose to your Excellency an abstract of what is already done, and such parts of it as you may judge material will no doubt be transmitted to the Admiralty for the information of my Lords Commissioners. -
