Dear Sir

I am not certain that I have yet mentioned to you the names of the Gardiner [gardener] & the assistent [assistant] miner whom I have have engagd for the Investigator. I therefore trouble with this to inform you

John Allen  assistent [assistant] miner

be so good as to Recollect that the Lady Nelson is in the Transport Service & must be put into the King's service.  Your order I conclude directd [directed] to the Governor of New South Wales
