Dear Sir

As you propose to endeaver to procure the liberation of Mr Flinders entirely on your own Statement to the National Institute of France & the foes? of this country has no concern in the Transaction I cannot see the  least objection to your taking whatever steps you think best in this business:

Lt Spencer has promised to dine here on Tuesday next  -  I shall be very much flatterd if you will do me  the Honor of Dining here on that Day at ¼  before 6 0'clocke
