He covers them from birds by surrounding each bush with a circle of basket work round about 3½ feet high of upright twigs in the same way as eel pots are made bound together by three or 4 bands, these may be placd in a circular or indeed any other form round one or more bushes & coverd with netting the fruit appeard very fair & fine within them.
