Providence Santa Crux [Santa Cruz de Tenerife] Sep 1st 1791

Sir,

I am happy to inform you that our Voyage hitherto has been prosperous, and wears the most promising appearance of continuing so to the end.  Pur Nectern [?] and Pine Plants are in perfect health, neither have we experienced any thing disagreeable from change of climate or element. Cap. Bligh who is not very well leaves this place to day, for the Cape where I hope we shall find a number of curiosities indeed Sir, there are very few specimens or any thing else to be found at Teneriff.

I am your very faithful
obliged servant
James Wiles.
