Sir,

I beg leave to return you my most grateful thanks for the honor of your Letter enclosing Mr. Portlocks. The hope that Mr. Bligh would recover when he got out to Sea, is the only relief I feel for the anxiety which the last accounts of him has given me, and for the long suspense I must remain in before I can hear that he is well.  It gives me pleasure to find Sir that you are of the same opinion, and am very sensible of your goodness in letting me know it.

I shall take care of Mr. Portlocks Letters which I beg leave to keep a little longer, and am Sir,
