as I understand from Mr Lightfoot that your Grace is absolutely determind to publish the very infinishd descriptions of shells which my deceasd friend Dr Solander made from your Collection it would be impertinent in me to offer any advice on the subject 

as however the memory of a man with whom I have spent so many years in close connexion cannot but be an object of importance
