The Humble petition of Michl: Littleboy

Sheweth

That your petitioner having serv'd with you in His Majestys Ship, the Endeavour, under the command of Captn. Cook. That your petitioner having a very large family; and work being very scarce Can hardly get a maintenance for his family; He therefore humbly hopes your honour will not take it amiss for his troubling you but necessity ​​​​​​​Oblidges him; and he being a waterman has had the misfortune to loose his Boat, in the beginning of the Winter; therefore most humbly begs your honour, would be pleas'd to get him a Birth in the Customs house for a better maintenance in his family, or any other birth your honour may have in your power to get for him
