Sir       

I had the Honour to write You two or three Letters lately respecting the Plants collected & sent by Captain Bligh for His Majesty's Gardens at Kew, which I hope You have receiv'd -

Captain Bligh being appointed to the Honduras Convoy sail'd before the Time expected, so that I had not the Opportunity of seeing the Plants put on Board, & I have been inform'd that he could not take them all     Perhaps You may be disappointed of those intended for Yourself.   I have my Reasons for thinking so, as the Gardiner made many Objections to the taking them on Board, - Imagining that to be the Case, I have avail'd
