Sir, Inclos'd is a Copy of a Letter sent You some Time since with a Catalogue of Plants prepar'd to go by Captain Bligh, who was to have sail'd on the first of April last I flatter'd myself that his Detention would have afforded me the desir'd Opportunity of [indecipherable] & enriching this Collection with the Addition of many [indecipherable] Plants, but Sickness, public [Business?] and a [indecipherable] of extreme bad weather, which has done great Mischief over the whole Island, has put it totally out of my power to do any Thing further on the present occasion – The Plants in the Collection (of which I herewith send You another Catalogue) were in high Order when left under the Care of Mr Smith & I trust they will not suffer through any want of Attention on His Part — and
