Cape Good Hope Dec 18 1791

My Dear Sir

I am just now closing my letters to go to Captain Hunter late of the Sirius who is on his return home - by him you will hear particularly from me. I am much recovered & ready for Sea.  An opportunity by way of France offers [to send the letter] I cannot therefore help [embracing?] it lest Mr.Gordon gets home before C. Hunter. As Waiting is a great pain to me I hope you will not attribute this short letter to any other but that cause, & I hope & apprehend you will get my letter by him first.
Every thing is going on well -

I am My Dear Sir Your
Most Affectionate Hmbl Servt
