get under weigh, and shall be clear of this Island by midnight. – Lieut. Porttock still remains on board, to carry on the duty, till I get better – Mr. Harwood the Surgeon has been so kind to write this, as my head is in a state, which will not allow me to keep my eyes fixed on the paper: He has not any doubts of my recovery, therefore, hope from the Cape of Good Hope to send you a good favorable[sic] account. I write to you and Mrs Bligh, who are the only Persons will hear from me by this opportunity
