Tho I shall always remember with pleasure the Friendly Civilities I received from you at the Hague yet I did not wish the remembrance of them as an incitement to me to wish to have your name inscribd in the List of Foreign Members of the R. Society No Mon prince I have since that time observd that you have continued to tread in the Paths of Science & to enrich usefull knowledge by the Publication of your discoveries

I thank you for your book on the subject of minerology which came safely to my hands & makes an usefull addition to my Library The copy destind for the Royal Society was presented to them & their thanks to you orderd for the Present
