Sir,

I Embrace this opportunity to inform you of my arrival in the downs, where I have not the least doubt but our late misfortune have come to your knowledge.  But sir I hope your will not be a larmd at me taking the liberty to draw upon you, For the sum of seventy Five pounds sterling where you may reloy upon my word that it was real necessity that occasioned me, I am on Board the H E Indey Company ship H T Addington Where I have Charge of all the plants that have been colected by Mr Karr at Canton In China, I shall Embrace the first opportunity To wait upon your Worship in Town I am
