Dear Sir
I send you the Phosphorus the Lapis Bononiensis of which it is made of some petrifications found in the Troglodyte country below Abyssinia on a level with the deserts of Nubia nearby.
I never saw any petrified shells in High Abyssinia & the Metaphorically we say these Marine productions are found. On the highest mountains I do not know if they have been found by any proper person as high as where the Barometer stands at 20 inches.
