Ann Fothergill presents respects to Sr. Joseph Banks and with Diffidence solicites [solicits] his further Friendly aid with respect to his opinion, what sum She should ask Baron Dimsdal [Dimsdale] for the Draweings [drawings] which remains Intire as he saw them and of which their are In nobr. [number] JJ84 - they Cost Dr. F [Fothergill] a moderate computation £3306 & upwards - and as A F [Fothergill] has (In a former privat [private] Contract) Suffered Both Loss and Blame She would wish to avoid the like now Espicialy [especially] the latter. A F [Fothergill] wishes simpley to do right to prepose [propose] what is Just, & equitable. She Knowes none so Capable of adviscing her In this (to her Important affair) as Sr. J Banks & his Frd. Dr. Solander: Baron Dimesdale is of the same sentement and if it woud [would] not Be asking too Great a favouer of Sr J B [Sir Joseph Banks] should be glad it woud suit him to Call In Russel street on fryday morning Betwixt 10 & 11 oclock (the hour the Baron preposed [proposed] Being here). if this is Inconvenient, a line from Sr Joseph expressing his sentement what is proper to prepose wou'd be Esteemed an additional favouer.
