          I have been told here daily that you are come, or are coming in a day or two, to Norwich, but I am slow of belief.  We shall be glad to see you for our sakes rather than your's.  You have found botany a consolation in many desert countries, so it may prove here.

          Mrs. Smith joins me in respectful compts. to the ladies.
