Dear Sir

Surely I did not name Tuesday evening as the time when I could attend upon you & Ld Howe, if I did I was out of my senses as I meant Wednesday, for I must be here on Tuesday till the afternoon:  all I can do to remedy this misbehaviour on my part is to give you the earliest notice I can of my delinquency, & to add that I shall certainly be in town on Wednesday before seven o'clock, & that if I find a
